Summary: (Summarize primary purpose of job function)
Under the supervision of an RN, provides direct care to employees of the system specific to their ages and job functions using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.  Demonstrates professional growth and development by assuming responsibilities as requested from the EOC and Infection Control Committees.  Maintains the substance use contract employee drug screening program and maintains files and reports as required by Georgia licensing agencies (ie: Board of Nursing).  With the RN, performs liaison duties to contract EAP service.  Reports pertinent Employee Health matters to physician advisor for his/her review/screening or approval.  Works with employee, volunteer, student, contract employee, physician, and occasionally physician staff populations.  Demonstrates discretion and sound judgement and  awareness of budgetary responsibilities.  Exhibits positive interpersonal skills (customer service) as 75% -80% of time is spend interacting with others.  All employees of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, JCAHO requirements, and national patient safety standards

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Maintains the Employee Health Program according to national, state and local standards and organizational needs.
2. Assists with Workers’ Compensation Program as needed
3. Maintains tuberculosis surveillance on hospital volunteers
4. Maintains the Recovering Employee program in  separate,  confidential files and reports to state agencies as required
5. Facilitates the Employee Assistance Program for appropriate employees and maintains separate and confidential files.
6. Assists in the development and revision of  Employee Health related policies, and assists in management of budgetary and operational requirements
7. Assists in  reporting to the Environment of Care Committee and makes recommendations on behalf of employee health and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education LPN nursing license required.
Experience 5 years nursing experience in an acute care facility.  Employee Health experience preferred
Licensure Current license to practice in the State of Georgia
