Biotique bio fruit whitening lip balm for red lips (Product review) Posted: 28 Oct 2010 11:15 PM PDT This is for Ankita :) Like most of the dusky girls I too have lip pigmentation problem .I know few remedies which can give you natural red lips like applying beetroot juice or glycerin with rose petals but some how I have never managed to follow both the thing. Whenever I go to the market I always buy one beetroot thinking I will apply it every night but till date I have managed to do this even for a week. Lip balm and regular exfoliation has helped in removing little darkness from my lips.I love natural red lips and still dream about them ;) so this time I got Biotique Bio fruit lip balm.I have been using it since a month religiously and religiously means using it 2-3 times a day altleast. What the product claims - Bio Fruit Whitening Lip Balm has been the elixir of life since the beginning of time, rich in vitamins, nutrients and skin brighteners. This de-pigmentation balm visibly lightens lips for a fairer skin tone.Price of Biotique lip balm is Rs 99 Beside this Biotique has two more lip balm in this 1.Bio Berry Plumping Lip Balm - Berries are one of nature's great sources of vitamins and photochemical. This plumping balm restores lip fullness for a voluptuous, bee-stung look and refined lip contours. 2. Bio Aloe Vera Nourishing Lip Balm SPF 30 - This nutrient-rich lip balm prevents and corrects chapped, cracked lips. Protects with SPF 30 UVA/UVB sunscreen. This looks like scary red of Halloween :D:D.. Do you see the hole in the lip balm?Well this was made by me.I wanted to check how deep is the quantity .. Product Ingredients -Angur , Vach, Mulethi, Badam (Prunusamygdalus) 2.0%, Surajmukhi (Helianthus annus) 2.0%, Kusumbhi (Carthamus tinctorius) 4.5%, Til (Sesamum indicum) 5.0%, Erandi (Ricinus communis) 11.0%, Marham base Q.S My experience with the product:- As biotique claims that it has all ayurvedic ingredients therefore I was not scared of using this product. The lip balm stays quiet long on my lips and is non greasy too.It quiet creamy and once it gets removed it does leave a little tint on your lips. What I liked about the product:- 1. Its creamy texture which stays put on my lips for 2-3 hours easily. 2. It is almost looks like a lipstick on my lips.Once it is removed it leaves a slight tint on my lips. 3. Affordable pricing and one tub is going to last for 5-6 months easily and shelf life of the product is three years 4. Chemical free 5. Soothes dry lips Dislike - 1. The biggest dislike of this lipbalm is its taste.By mistake also if I happen to taste it I always feel like puking.I applied this on my husband also and he was horrified to taste it. 2. As it comes in a small tub so it goes in my nails and i have to sterilised my nails before I use it. 3. No SPF. 4. It smells of all ayurvedic ingredients which is certainly not good for sensitive nose. Here is Biotique bio fruit on my lips My take - Those who have extremely extremely dry lips may not like this .It tastes and smell horrible but the kind of tint it give to my lips.I love it for that.I have heard that other two lip balms doesn't have this taste and smell good also. Lip pigmentation or lip whitening- No there is no change in my lip colors. They are same |
Simple make up with step by step pictures Posted: 28 Oct 2010 12:21 PM PDT Party make up tutorial Hey guys !!! A big hug to all of you who liked me olive and pink party wear look. I want to wear more of shimmery look now but I always land up doing kind of subtle look. The reason is the lack of interest of girls and woman in make up.But I hope the blogging world will make up many uninterested ladies to jump into the make up hurricane :D I got this pretty MAC sumptuous olive 1.3gm .As usual will review it after showing you guys some tutorial of it.This was basically the show stopper and those who are not into high end brand I have got its dupe also. Will show it to you guys soon.Let us first start with the tutorial. Step 1 - Clean your eyes and use an eye primer or you can just apply some concealer and dab some compact powder on it.Now take an eyeshadow brush and the MAC eye shadow on your upper eyelid and cover whole of the eyelid with it. You can use gold also .Goes well with the pink. Now this is my Chambor eyeshadow palette and I am using the pink and gold of this. You can see the review and swatches here. Step2. Take the pink and apply it on the crease of your eyes. With a fluffy brush blend both the colours. Step3 - Now with the same chambor eye palette I took the golden and applied it on my brow bone.I basically stretched the color from the crease till the brow bone.Blended all the three colours. Step4 - For my eye brows I filled them with brown pencil and MAC Brow set which is getting dirtier day by day Applied Shahnaz eyeliner, lotus kajal and , my lashes with QVS curler and applied colorbar mascara. There is not much of eye make up technique in this look.Took me some 10 minutes in doing it and I wore it whole day on karwa chauth With this you can wear Revlon colourburst lipstick and peach eye shadow.Works well.. Thanks for liking the look Your neighborhood friend Anamika You might like this also Mehndi design this Karva chauth 2010 and mehndi tips |
Posted: 28 Oct 2010 09:54 AM PDT This is a new hair creme from wella Kolestint introduced in market.I have colored my hair thrice but always in saloon. Few reason why I was interested in trying the product was:- 1. Brand is promoted by Dimple Kapadia and I adore her hair. She has nice thick and long hair even at this age.Dimple Kapadia has always claimed that she endorses those products only which she believes in.There is even Jacqueline Fernandez who too is endorsing the product. 2. I again want to colour my hair ;) What comes with the product and product ingredient:- After colour intense shine treatment- Conditioner that seals in the colour while hydrating hair. Developer - Mixed with colour cream before application to for a thick mixture Colour creme - Non drip formulae that envelops the hair Pre- colouration Treatment - Has almond extract Prepares hair for better colour absorbtion from root to tip Lubricates hair for better distribution of the color mixture This is the colour result table which shows the natural Hair colour and colour result Company has sent me Medium Mohogany brown 5/5 .I have black hair and I am confused now whether to try the colour or not. What you guys say? Will you like me to try this brand or would you like to try this colour on your self? |
Left over rice recipes - Left over rice paratha/Chawal ka paratha with pictures Posted: 28 Oct 2010 07:25 AM PDT We north Indians are so obsessed with parathas that we can stuff anything from them.I have seen Sanjeev kapoor making mithai paratha and paratha of gulab jamun too.I myself have stuffed so many things in them which include cooked lady finger(okra or bhindi ) too.Have you done that? Whenever their is any rice recipe for dinner on Friday I store some rice for Saturday's so that I don't have to scratch my head much for any other thing. As usual it is an instant rice recipe and you will not need much ingredients too to make this one. This is what I have always maintained on wise she.Just good food with less time and ingredients. So here goes the recipe:- Serves - 3-4 adults Method and preparation - 20 minutes For the dough:- 2 cups wheat flour(atta) 1-2 tsp salt Water in kneading the dough. 1 tbsp of oil or 1tbsp of yogurt Paratha filling :- 1.5 cup cooked rice(If the rice is 1 day old it taste much better) 3-4 chopped green chillies 1 inch shredded ginger 1 tsp coriander powder salt to taste 1 tsp cumin powder 1/4tsp red chilli powder Chopped Coriander /cilantro (I didn't have this so i skipped it Easy solution ) Step1 -Mixed all the ingredients and make a dough .Keep it aside for 10 -15 minutes. Step2 - Mash the rice well and put ginger, green chillies in it and all the ingredients mentioned under filling above. You can make ginger and green chilli paste also.I just put them up like this only. Step 2 - Make two small balls of the dough and make thin small chapatis of them. Step 2 - Now put the rice filling on one chapati and cover it up with another .The reason why we make thin chapati because when we put them together then paratha becomes quiet thick. You will come to know when you will make it .:) Step3 - Now seal all the ends. Step 4 - Roll the paratha using white flour /atta. Step 5 - Roast the paratha as usual on a hot griddle till brown spots appears on both sides. You can use oil, ghee or butter or what ever you like to cook your paratha with. All the rice lovers enjoy this pratha. It is easy to cook and tastes great. Serve with raita, achaar and if you want to have a heavenly ride then add butter Do you have any unique paratha recipe or simple rice recipe to share? You might like my other paratha experiments |
