Body lotion - Garnier body Cocoon (Product review) Posted: 01 Nov 2010 10:12 PM PDT By Adivaah Garnier I have tried body lotions like Nivea and Vaseline for my dry skin but they didn't prove much effective for the extreme dryness and I had to reapply the lotion often. Before I bought this, I had seen the Garnier Body Cocoon ad so many times on the TV but I just gave it pass thinking it wouldn't be that effective. Then finally, one day when I ran out of Vaseline lotion I went to the nearest super market to get a new bottle, while having a look at the different products I noticed the Garnier Cocoon and decided to try it just because of the fact that it is manufactured by well known brand L'Oreal. And I'm very happy I did that because this has proven to be my best body lotion. What does Garnier claim about this product? If your skin feels dry, rough, flaky and tight, Garnier Body Cocoon moisturising lotion will soothe and restore the skin's suppleness, leaving it feeling unbelievably soft. Its creamy yet light texture is instantly absorbed into the skin-enveloping it in a nourishing cocoon of softness, leaving it deliciously fragranced. It has nutritive fruit oils from apricots, olives, blackcurrants and avocados to deliver an immediate burst of moisture to the skin. Garnier uses, wherever possible, active natural ingredients which have been carefully extracted to preserve their quality and purity. Products have been dermatologically tested to ensure respect to your skin. Visible Results: Dry skin appears transformed Visibly smoother, Noticeably softer Ingredients: Aqua/Water, Paraffinum Liquidum/Mineral Oil, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Elaeis Guineensis/Palm Oil, Stearyl Heptanoate, Hexyldecanol, Olea Europaea/Olive Fruit Oil, Persea Gratissima/Avocado Oil, Prunus Armeniaca/Apricot Kernel Oil, Ribes Nigrum/Black Currant Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera/Grape Seed Oil, Carbomer, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Stearic Acid, Stearyl Caprylate, Triethanolamine, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Parfum/Fragrance, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone Directions to Use: Do not apply on the face it's only for the body! Price of Garnier Body CocoonFor 250 ML the MRP is Rs 145 INR, but this bottle had a special offer of Rs.25 OFF so this was available for Rs.120 INR. Pros of Garnier body Cocoon This certainly is a very good moisturizing lotion & is very effective in soothing & restoring the skin's suppleness. The texture is very light and not very runny, just bit of rubbing for a few seconds and it easily gets absorbed without leaving an oily film. The fragrance is very mild and smells like fruits because of the presence of fruit oils from apricots, olives, blackcurrants and avocados. Aromatic Palm oil softens and heals cracked skin, renews and purifies damaged tissues, eliminates dry skin cells and prevents infection. Olive oil can also help relieve sunburn. Olive Oil contains polyphenol compounds that act as antioxidants to help prevent and repair damage to the skin done by accidental sun exposure. Black currants have a very high content in antioxidants and vitamins. Avocado is high in sterolins, which are reputed to reduce age spots, help heal sun damage and scars. It is the sterolins (also called plant steroids) in the oil that helps to soften the skin and imparts a superior moisturizing effect Grape seed oil has mildly astringent qualities, which help to tighten and tone the skin, making it a good cosmetic ingredient for anti-aging products. It is light and finely textured oil and is non-comedogenic. Apricot oil is often used for body massage and for keeping the skin all glowing and healthy. The visible results claim is completely true because as soon as I apply this and rub for a few seconds,I see an instant glow and smoother and softer skin. I totally love this for the instant results. For me, this softness lasts for atleast 6 hours & after that though it doesn't look dry but I feel an urge to apply it once again because of the smooth feeling. So the claim that it acts like a cocoon is very true. This product is affordable, because of the texture you need a little amount and this will come a long way. The packaging is very decent and hygienic! It's an orange coloured bottle with a flip cap, which can be carried in a bag as well & will not be messy at all. This has proved to be a very good body lotion for my dry skin during all weathers. Cons of Garnier body Cocoon: This doesn't spread in a jiff; you at least need a few seconds of rubbing, people who rush to work will not like this. Will I buy this again? Yes I will, I have been doing this and will continue because this has really stood up to its claims of providing cocoon to the body and retaining the moisture and smoothness! |

Below are some quick fix tips to make instant and easy rangoli which is great looking too. 1. If you fall in those category who can not draw with a coloured powder then don't bother and use chalk.Draw any design with a wet chalk and then fill the design with colour of your choice. This way chances of you going wrong is less. 2. If you have not planned your design ahead then pick something basic such as like concentric circles, or a flour petal flower .You can even make a simple swastik.Just outline these and decrate with diyas and flowers. You will have a simple and easy rangoli design in front of you. 3. Alpana Rangoli-If you got pets at home and make a plain rangoli so that even if the rangoli gets messed up you don't take it to heart. For this just make a plain white rangoli or just simple red and white like Alpana Rangoli. 4. Use poster colours for rangoli. They are easier to manage and saves lot of time.To finish the work fast use a thick paint brush. 5. Traditional gainda flowers and diyas are great fillers and finish up your work fast. I always welcome Lakshmi ji with white feet which are symbolic of the Goddess.Show as if Goddess is entering into your home.Instead of following some hard and fast rule draw one "S "shaped line and five dots on top.Done!!!
