Make up brushes - Cleaning makeup brushes easily (Picture tutorial) Posted: 09 Nov 2010 10:35 PM PST It is such a pain to clean make up brushes weekly.I have never managed to do that and this time when I went to MAC store the SA there gave me a great tip to clean them.SA told me that they use their brushes 100 times a day and if they started cleaning them every day they will end up spending two hours in cleaning only. So to save time she cleans them with baby wipes or facial wipes.I found the idea so interesting that I too tried it yesterday and it really worked. Below are two of my make up brushes which I use frequently .One is my MAC foundation brush 190 and other one is QVS powder brush. Even if I use them once the the foundation or the compact gets into them and when I re use them previous used foundation is lying into it. With the help of baby wipes work is too easy peasy :D This is the face wipe which is squeaky clean .Love using baby wipes. You can read different ways of using wipes here. You can see all the foundation on the wipe. Here are my clean brushes which needs little air drying . Now place them on paper towel to air dry. This is basically mild cleaning which can be done in a minute. This way you will not require to clean them frequently. If you want to go for your heavy cleaning of the make up brushes then take warm warm water in a mug , add baby shampoo and put the brushes into it.Clean the bristles with your finger tips. |

Smokey eye makeup in five minute with MAC paint pot Posted: 09 Nov 2010 06:45 AM PST I wore this look four five times while I was visiting my friends and relatives and while coming back to Hyderabad. It took my five minutes in doing this and I so wanted to show the MAC paint pot on myself that I did the look again today. I just followed three steps and I was ready with my eye make up. Step 1- Apply MAC paint pot in quite natural on my eye lid.I used my finger for this.If you want deep crease then you can take the eyeshadow into the crease. Step2 - Take any Black gel liner (I am using Maybelline lasting drama gel liner )and line the top eye lid .Line the lower eye lid with black eye pencil. I am using MAC smolder. So basically I created a smooth line all around my eyes. Step3 - Take any black eyeshadow , I am using Lakme Quarter Moondust and apply black eye shadow along the liner on the top lip .I just softened the line so that they don't look to harsh.I applied the eye shadow on my lower lash line as well.(Just some soft strokes.) Step 4 - Curled my lashes and applied Colorbar mascara and filled my eyebrows with a brown pencil and my eye make up was done. This is me with the smoky eyes. I didn't spend much time in smudging or defining my eyeshaodws still I got my smokey eyes You might like reading these also Simple make up with step by step pictures Technorati tags:makeuptips, beautytips, skincare,Makeup look |
MAC paint pot in Quite natural (Product review and swatches ) Posted: 09 Nov 2010 05:25 AM PST MAC paint pot peintures It is just been a week when I shared with you guys about my Mac haul and here I am with a dent in my MAC quite natural paint pot. I had read so much about mac cosmetics paint pot and I am so glad I bought it.It is highly pigmented eye colour which goes on creamy and gives a vibrant finish. It is so long wearing and doesn't cake at all. With all these qualities it is quiet light on the eyes as well. Sorry I started praising it in the beginning it self but I can't help raving about it. Price of MAC paint pot in Quite natural is Rs 1, 100Below are the swatches .It is medium dark brown and suits my skin tone pretty well.It has matte finish without any shimmer and the texture of the product is not heavy at all.I can easily apply it with the help of a brush and my eyelids doesn't feel dry as well. MAC paint pot swatchesMy experience with MAC paint pot I wore this product while coming from Delhi to Hyderabad. My flight got canceled and therefore I first went to Bangalore and then took a flight again to Hyderabad . I was too frustrated and lightly rubbed my eyes many times in between but when I came back my eye make up was intact.I couldn't believe it. This way I came to know that this product can be used as a base for dark colour eye shadows and your make up wont budge . There are many reason why I like this mac painterly 1.I have oily lids and therefore my eye shadows vanishes with in 3-4 hours easily but this one stays on my eyes for more than 12 hours. 2. I can easily apply it with a light brush. 3, Gives a nice day time smoky eye look. 4 The reason I bought it was when I read that foreign blogger are using it as a dark brown gel liner and some of them who have brown colour hair were using it to fill their brows as well. 5. Very subtle looking. 6 .It gets easily removed . 7. When I am in hurry I use my finger to apply it on my eyelids and it blends easily. Now I know why people are searching for MAC paint pot dupe because MAC paint pots rocks You might like reading these MAC reviews as wellMAC sumptuous Olive eyeshadow this Diwali (Product review and swatches)MAC kohl / Mac smolder (Product review) and smokey eye make upTechnorati tags:MAC paint pot,MAC,MAC SWATCHES,MAC eyeshadows |
QVS facial cleansing brush (Product review) Posted: 09 Nov 2010 01:43 AM PST Facial cleansing brush - When I got this facial cleansing brush while going to Delhi I had no idea that I am going to love this product so much.Facial cleansing is an important part of my skin care regime and I have been following Deep cleansing method regularly. But those of you who are not fond of using oil on face then I request you to give this product a try. How facial cleansing brush worksThough the company have not mentioned this but while using the brush I realised that apart from using it as a cleanser it can also be used to apply facial creams and massaging it in to the skin.It polishes away dirt, makeup and reveals fresh, exfoliated skin.Ohh my Gaawd I am sounding like a sales assistant :D What the product claims - 1. Extra soft nylon bristles 2. Hypo -allergenic- suitable for sensitive skin 3. Includes cosmetic headband Price of QVS facial cleansing brush is Rs 199Brush comes with a cap over it so once I am done using the facial brush I do not worry about the hygiene part. I doubted the soft bristle claim but its bristles are actually quiet soft.It was not at all harsh even when I used it for the first time. How to use the facial brush - Apply cleanser on the facial scrub (I used my Fab India vitamin E cleanser) and then using your cleansing brush gently massage over your face in a circular motion . Rinse thoroughly after each use and allow it to air dry. For our convince the company has given us a head band also which is fun using while doing the cleansing. What I liked about the product:- 1. Brush has soft bristles and it can be used every day( I use it every alternate day.) 2. I love using it while massaging my face or cleaning my make up.It gives through clean feeling to my skin. 3. It gives my skin gentle exfoliation and since the time I have started using it I have been noticing that my white heads have started delaying themselves. 4.Quiet easy on pocket and one brush will last for long. 5. It simply refreshes the skin and removes all dirt. 6.It will work on most of the sensitive skins also Dislike - I don't have any dislike of this product.Only thing is I some time over do the cleansing. As it exfoliates the skin always use a toner and a moisturizer after using this. Will recommend to others - Yes, If you are office going or a student who spend lot of time outside then I am surly going to recommend it. You might like reading these also |
