Skin whitening - Face pack for skin whitening with step by step pictures Posted: 11 Nov 2010 01:12 AM PST This post is for Sphoorthy A We all look for skin whitening products and natural skin whitener. It is not that being dark or dusky is bad but we all want to be a shade lighter only.I have never heard from some one saying in India that they want to be shade darker .Infact I have seen ultra fair girl buying skin whitening creams . I myself buy skin whitening creams but most of the time I depend on herbal remedies because I am shit scared of whitening creams ingredients. If I buy them then I surely check out their ingredients.I have received few mails from girls asking for a herbal remedy to lighten skin tone etc therefore I thought of doing this post. Few ingredients helps in skin whitening such as egg white, almonds, gram flour(besan), lemon juice, milk etc.Leaving beside lemon juice most of the ingredients suits sensitive skin easily.Below is the pack which will give one 2-3 shade lighter tone if used every day.Just prepare the ingredients before hand and use it 10 minutes before your bath. There will be a nice glow also with this pack. This is how we go about with this skin whitening face pack. Step1 -Take four almond and crush them .You can powder some 50 grams of almonds and store them in an air tight container .Making powder of four almonds is little difficult.) Step 2- Add 1tbsp of gram flour in the crushed almonds. Step3 - Add 1 tbsp. of milk. Step4 - Add 1tsp. of lemon juice. Make a thick paste like this. Apply it on your face for 10 minutes and wash it off with water. Lemon will bleach your face naturally and almond will give the glow.Gram flour and milk will add to the fairness. If you have dry skin then you can add 1tsp. of glycerine into the pack. You can use this pack every day .Pack is little drying so do not forget to use toner and a moisturizer after applying it. There are few other fairness packs also which I have tried and have worked for me.I will share with you guys soon. Thanks Your neighborhood friend Anamika You might like reading these also |
Pasta recipes - Pasta with walnuts in 10 minutes Posted: 10 Nov 2010 11:46 PM PST Pasta meals any one :D:D I know all the foodies who like little bit of my cooking must be upset with me as I have not posted any food recipe since long.It is not my fault though .There is nothing like "maa ke haath ka khaana":D :D. I ate so much at my mom's place that at one point of time I thought I will burst :P .Hubby kept saying "I hope you are not eating much there because later on you will crib."(Actually he was jealous because I was getting to eat best food and he was surviving on bread and butter here :D) I guess there will be no house who won't have dry fruits on Diwali. I came back with some 2-3 kgs of dry fruits myself and therefore making Pasta with walnut was something which I was longing to do.Recipe is pretty simple and it will take just 15 minutes in making it.If you want to include nuts in your food then this pasta recipe can be of considered. Here goes my pasta recipe with walnuts Serves - 2-3 adults Ingredients Some 375 gm of spaghetti pasta (I used half of my packet ) 4-5 garlic cloves diced 2 chopped red chilli Bread crumbs of 2 large breads .(I used brown bread. You can use white bread too) 2-3 tbsp of chopped walnuts. 5-6 soft spinach finely chopped(Take fresh leaves for best taste. You can blanch them for 2 minutes to soften them up) 2- 3 tbsp Olive oil (Use Olive oil and no other oil for this.It brings special taste to pasta) Method and Preparation:- Step1- Boil spaghetti as mentioned on the packet drain and keep it aside. Step 2- Take a heavy sauce pan and add 1tbsp. of olive oil in it.Throw in chopped garlic, red chilli and cook it on slow flame for 1 -2 minute. Step3 - Add bread crumbs , walnuts and saute both of them for 5 minutes on slow flame. Step4 - When bread crumbs turns crispy add pasta , spinach and rest of the olive oil. Step5 -Cover the pan for a minute so that all things gets wilted and pasta gets heated too. Step6 - Add some sea salt according to your taste and freshly ground black pepper.(You can use normal salt and pepper powder too but if you use sea salt and fresh pepper it tastes heavenly ) Garnish with some grated Parmesan cheese (I avoided the cheese) and serve hot .Want some You might like these Italian pasta dishes Cold pasta SaladEast pasta recipe in fifteen minutes with pictures |
Body shop lip and cheek stain review (Product review and Swatches) Posted: 10 Nov 2010 09:38 PM PST I am very much found of lip glosses because that's the only make up product I use. After trying many so many lip glosses I thought of trying lip stain and I tried the body shop lip stain. I feel this is the best product I have come across I just love this lip stain and this is not only a lip stain but also a cheek stain so you really don't have to bother for a separate blush , as this product gives you a healthy glow on cheeks and hydrated lips. I bought the rose pink shade . What the product claims -For a natural looking just blushed glow to the cheeks or just bitten in to a strawberry lips this double -duty product is a must have for the make-up bag. The more you sweep it on, the deeper it gets. Below are the swatches of Body shop lip stain |
Nail art designs - Nail art on short nails Posted: 10 Nov 2010 07:21 AM PST I was thinking of doing checkered nail art in black and white today and ended up doing this.Best part of doing nail art is you can just go on and on with your wild creative mind and you have a new and a unique design ready in front of you. It is quiet simple.I just painted my nail with a black nail polish and drew vertical and horizontal lines on my nails with a blue brush. Afterwards I made these tiny flowers yellow nail paints. Posted: 10 Nov 2010 06:01 AM PST I got these cute open basket from dollar store Delhi to store my nail polish. Now finding nail polish is quiet easy for me. Before this I was using this box to store my nail polishes.I had to open the box every time I use the nail polish. As the box was not broad finding the desired shade was always a problem but with this basket storage I got no problems at all. After using the nail polish I keep them in my almirah so that no dust settle on them. Mitra wanted to see the nail art pen and brush. This is what I use in my nail art tutorials.I got 4-5 of them from a near by store. One nail art pen is just of Rs 50.I was not able to find good quality pens so what I did is empty the pen and added good quality nail paint in it. It has a thin brush and a dot pen too with it. Works for me How do you store your nail polishes? |
Facial treatment - How to choose facial Posted: 10 Nov 2010 03:11 AM PST By Manisha, Hello Wise She Beauties, I hope you enjoying yourself here. My topic today is facial treatment as I am quite fond of getting facial done. I am a working woman and our company is associated with a skin clinic where we get huge discounts on facial through our company. I am getting facial done every 20 -25 days and have made friends with the entire staff working in the skin clinic. Before going to the clinic I did my research and spoke to the skin care experts of the clinic. With this I am sharing some of the facials details and how one can choose the right facial for their skin. A classic facial includes cleansing, exfoliating, extraction and mask and a moisturizer. This facial suits anyone with a dry to normal skin. Extractions are safe to use which I was completely unaware off. One can get extraction done as long as the aesthetician first uses steam to soften the pores and covers her fingers with gauze. If you suffer from intense pain while getting extraction then please ask the beautician to stop doing it immediately. One should not use an extractor as they result in scarring in discolouration. If you are suffering from eczema then skipping steam is the best option as it can aggravate the condition of the eczema. One can use warm cloth instead of that. Facial for acne prone skin

Revlon eyeliner - Revlon colorstay eyeliner review and swatches Posted: 10 Nov 2010 02:31 AM PST Revlon colorstay sparkling eyeliner review Why I bought it - Revlon colorstay eyeliner range is quiet popular abroad and when I saw them I thought of trying sparkling eyeliner as I was looking for a glitter eyeliner or a type of it in pencil form.I got the mauve spark colour eyeliner in this Price of Revlon colorstay sparkling eyeliner is Rs390orMy experience with the product:- When I swatched this product on my hand it comes out really nice but when I apply it on my eyelids it is no where to be seen. This is because I have oily eyelids but this has never happened to me with other eyeliner such as Maybelline or colorbar which are much cheaper than Revlon.I did my make up tutorial with this eyeliner you can check it out here. Revlon colorstay eyeliner swatchesWhat I liked about the product:- 1. It doesn't irritate my eyes Dislikes - 1. I got lot of complaints as it just doesn't show on my eyelids. When I applied it after applying eye shadows I felt as if I am joking with myself.I really have to put extra pressure on my eyes to make it appear on my upper lash line. 2. It is comparatively higher in price when compared to other popular eyeliner . 3. Even if it sometimes show on my eyes it vanishes off quickly after an hour. Will I recommend it to others - If you see the swatches above it looks as if it is quiet pigmented and has subtle sparkle in it.This is because my skin there is not oily .So I think it will go well on those who have dry eyes. Rating - 2/5(Doesn't work for me at all Have you tried Revlon colorstay Sparkling eyeliner.Did you experienced the same?
