Best foundation for dry skin - Wise she reader question

I have to attend a marriage with in few weeks .I have dry skin and I am looking for a foundation which suits my skin.Please help!!!

Mac get away bronze blush (Product review , swatches and pictures)

                                         MAC TO THE BEACH - MAC GET AWAY BRONZE

Mac Get away bronze - I some how forgot reviewing this blush thought I bought it long long back.I felt like not using much of colours on myself today and therefore remembered my MAC get away bronze.This is a bronze powder blush which was released in the MAC to the Beach collection.Perfect for those girls who are between NC 40 -NC 48 skin tone.It suits nicely and has a frost finish and little blush goes a long way.




This blush gives me a nice bronze glow and has slight shimmer that looks amazing when the sun hits it.You can use it as a bronzer or as a blush.It is quiet pigmented therefore you need a light hand while using this

Price of MAC get away bronze blush is Rs 1400

(I don' remember the exact amount now but it was some where around this if I am not wrong.)

This bronzer gives a nice touch to your face when you are using bold bright eye make up or when you are trying to be subtle looking  with a no make up look.As this is a limited edition blush therefore you may not find it any more on MAC counter but the best part is that is highly dupable so when I find its dupe I will let you know and if you know any dupe of this oh oh !!! Please let me know too

Pasta with spinach - White sauce for pasta anyone ?

This has been my pasta week and I was crazily looking for spinach pasta sauce recipe but sadly I didn't find any instant pasta sauce recipe so I decided to make my spinach pasta in white sauce.

Having pasta in  breakfast with  hubby on  bright Sunday morning is  fun.While eating I keep telling my husband what all are the ingredients I added in the pasta even though I know he is more interested in having pasta than knowing about the ingredients :D:D


Before going ahead let us learn the

white sauce recipe

In a small heavy pan melt 1tbsp of butter on low heat and blend 1 tbsp of all purpose white flour(maida) in it.Keep stirring both the ingredients otherwise it may form clumps.Add 1/4tsp. of salt and cook it on medium heat for 2-3 minutes more.Now slowly add 1 cup of milk and stirr constantly.Continue cooking till the sauce gets thick.If you want heavy white sauce than you can take 2tbsp of butter and 2tbsp of all purpose flour.

This is the basic white sauce recipe which gets cooked  in 5-10 minutes.


For Spinach pasta you need following ingredients.
1tbsp. of oil(olive oil)
1 onion chopped
1 green chilli chopped
A small bunch of spinach leaves
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder (according to taste)
250 gms of pasta(You can take any pasta of your choice)
Water to cook the spinach
Black pepper powder 1/2tsp 
Oregano according to taste(optional)

Method and preparation:-

Step1 - Boil pasta according to instruction of the packet and keep it aside.

Step2 - Take a pan add oil , add chopped onion and saute it for 2-3 minutes.

Step3 - Add chopped spinach leaves , chopped green chillies , salt and red chilli powder.

Step4 - Add some water and cook 5-6 minutes till the spinach leaves are cooked.You can add more water if you think spinach is not cooked .Cook till whole water evaporates.

Now our pasta and spinach is cooked.

Step5- Make white sauce and when it is cooked add above sauteed onion spinach mixture and pasta  in it.Add black pepper and oregano according to taste in the end and let every thing simmer for 2-3 minutes more.

Serve with garlic bread or toasted bread as per your liking.

Let me first introduced my hair type before reviewing the product. I have rebounded (straightened) hair. It is a chemical process which results in smooth, frizz free, sleek and  straight hair. But as the process consists of high chemical usage, the hair may damage if not taken care of regularly. If right products are used one can maintain the sleek frizz free look for quite a long time. This is my third time that I have straightened my hair, but till date I have not got any problem. Touch wood! After the first session my hair stylist (His name is Sajid and he is THE BEST, seriously!) suggested the Schwarzkopf Bonacure Repair Rescue Shampoo and Treatment Masque. I have been using it since then. So I can surely review the product now

What the product claims? Repair Rescue shampoo cleanses damaged hair recharges it with new strength and elasticity. BC hairtherapy with Cura+Protein Complex reinforces the hair structure with significantly more strength. Amino Cell Rebuild technology recovers the hair's natural elasticity by strengthening the architecture in the hair cell. For strong and supple hair full of healthy shine.


Shampoo

Ingredients: Sodium Laureth Sulfate. Disodium Cocoamphodi acetate. Sodium chloride. PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate. Parfum. Citric acid. PEG-12 Dimethicone. Polyquaternium-10. Sodium benzoate. Styrene/Acrylates copolymer. Laureth-2. Hydrogenated castor oil. Salicylic acid. Propylene glycol. Panthenol. Hydroxypropyltrimonium hydrolyzed. Wheat protein. PEG-55 Propylene glycol oleate. PEG-14M. Hydrolyzed vegetable protein PG- propyl silanetriol. Benzyl salicylate. Hydrolyzed keratin

Application: Work into wet hair and rinse out.

What I like about the product:

  • It does its job too well i.e. it is an excellent cleanser.
  • Makes my hair soft & nourished.
  • Controls frizz (Couple of times I skipped the treatment mask to see the shampoo's effectivity & it works as well!!)
  • Requires a small amount & lather really well (I have mid length hair)
  • Great product for processed hair.
  • I have not suffered from hair fall after using this
  • Maintains the sleek look
  • The smell is very subtle & lasts for a long time. Its too good that I smell my hair often after shampooing lolJ
  • The packaging is very sleek, smart & convenient.
  • Lasts for almost 3 months if used regularly


What I do not like about the product:

  • The price! Though it requires less but to shell out Rs.540 for 250ml product is really pain sometimes
  • It is only available in Salons where Schwarzkopf treatment is available.
  • Suitable for relaxed/straightened/permed/coloured hair only

My overall experience with this product has been really great and  I will keep on buying this till I find something better than this.

Application: Work into towel dried hair and rinse out after 5-10 minutes.

What I like about the product:

  • It makes the hair smooth, soft, frizz free & shiny
  • Repairs spilt ends
  • Convenient packaging
  • A little amount goes a long way
  • One tub lasts for about 4-5 months
  • Smell is divine!!
  • Never caused any hairfall
  • Great product for processed hair as it maintains the look.
 What I do not like about the product:

  • The price!
  • Hair feels greasy after two days
  • Availability (retails through salons only)

I really like this product it makes my hair super smooth. This is the BEST hair masque I have used till date.
