Let me jump to the experience right NOW !!!! Body shop funda was simple .Create sugar sweet lemon tarts which we all will love applying on our lips and keep enjoying the taste of it every now and then. It is creamy in texture and glides onto the lips and give little shine to my lips. It has that butter like texture which soften my lips and shea butter in the balm protects my lips from getting dry. If I wear it at night and sleep with it then my lips are soft and ready to wear any lipstick . It gives right moisturizer to my lips.My lips neither feel too dry or too greasy. I like carry it everywhere and it remains safe in my bag Dislike:- *Though it comes in a cute pot but I always have to sterilized my hands before putting my finger tip into the pot. *If you are looking for heavy moisturizing for your lips then it is not the one for you. Recommendation - All those girls who like lip butters , sweet lemon tart taste and smell please runnnnn for this..Rest can read other lip balms here and here.... P.S ---- yES YES !!! Flat tummy - How to get a flat tummy (Wise She Reader expereince) Posted: 20 Nov 2010 09:35 AM PST Hi all, My name is Kritika and I'm in my late 20s. I am working as an IT professional in Noida. After marriage, about 3-4 years back, due to work pressure and responsibilities, I started ignoring my body and became quite plump. This was a great setback as I like to see myself fit and in good shape. I realized this and started to look out for ways to reduce the fat around my belly. I read a lot and consulted a few dieticians too. Thankfully, I'm improving now. I thought it'd be good to share all those simple steps/things to take care of, which have helped me apart from the daily exercise/workout routine, with all of you. So here it goes – Kill stress before it kills you With so much to handle, all of us feel stress at one point or another. I realized that it not only increases my tendency to gobble up lots of chocolates but also develops excess belly fat (around waist). Deep breathing exercises and meditation have helped me very much in relieving stress. You should also try that if you feel stressed most of the time. Water! The elixir of life Drink, drink and drink lots of water every day. If your body is dehydrated, it tends to hold on to more water from what you eat and drink – thereby increasing your weight and puffiness. To prevent bloating, 8-10 glasses of water every day are recommended. Take a glass of warm water and lime juice in the morning – it jump starts your metabolism and also promotes healthy digestion (keeps you clean). Stand straight! Posture counts big time. Slouching pushes your hips and belly forward, making your body look heavier. It can also undo some of the benefits you get from workout. For example, compare the amount of time you exercise to the time you sit sluggishly at your desk or sofa or in your car. A good posture means shoulders back and down, belly button in and up and chin very slightly tucked. Try sitting at the edge of your chair in office to discourage hunching. My husband also suggested me an application for my computer or smartphone which can constantly remind me to keep correct posture. Keep it balanced Isn't that the mantra you've been hearing all your life? Well that applies to dietary habits of a normal person like you too. Don't completely eliminate the fat content from your diet in the hope of losing weight. Research shows that non-fat diet also loses us the enzymes which help digest the fat. The result: the day you miss your routine, you'll wind up bloated. Add some healthy fats like few slices of avocado or a spoon of oil and vinegar dressing on your salad. That will ease digestion and also help your belly deflate naturally. Say good night and sleep tight All of you who've had a night out know very well how it affects your next day routine. Apart from all sorts of negative health consequences, it also leads to weight gain by production of the hormones leptin and ghretin – which make you hungrier and more prone to overeating. Studies show that missing even 2 days of normal sleep can lead to changes in these hormone levels. Hope you will benefit from this Kritika singh If you have any makeup, beauty or fitness experience to share with us then mail us at anamika(at)wiseshe(dot)com. We will love to hear from you You might like reading these Eight tips to lose weight and have a healthy life style Top seven reason for not losing weight How I lost weight and weight loss tips |
Tea tree oil - Body Shop tea tree oil review - Effective acne remedy ? Posted: 20 Nov 2010 02:41 AM PST Tea tree oil for acne The famous body shop tea tree range is something which most of us have heard and experimented with.Though I tried the tea tree oil from a local brand a year back this time I thought of trying Body shop tea tree oil .I would have been much happier if I could have got tea tree gel but I didn't find it any where . Tea tree oil usesTea tree oil benefits are numerous. They help in clearing blemishes and acne. One can add some 3-4 drops of the oil in your shampoo to get rid of dandruff too.So now we know why there are so many tea tree oil shampoo, tea tree oil soaps and tea tree oil face washes around. This is what Body shop has to say about its tea tree oil Best if you want: A natural, targeted solution to help clear blemishes quickly and effectively without over drying the skin. How it works:
Price of Body shop tea tree oil is Rs 445 for 10ml.Available in all body shop outletMy experience with the product :- Body shop Tea tree oil is called as a "medicine cabinet must and claims that it clears tiny flaws of your face overnight. I too suffer from acne problem and when I have acne they are painful and big too.I have been using this product over a month now and that too every day. I just swiped it on my pimples and blemishes with a Q- tip before going to the bed .The next morning when I got up there was a very tiny slight reduction in size of my pimples. After applying it continiously for 3-4 days And yep, I could definitely notice a reduction in size of my pimples. What I liked about the product :- 1. It soothes my painful acne. 2. Reducess redness and irritation around the acne. 3. It doesn't dry my skin at all.(A big plus on that ) 4. It prevents acne from forming. 5. Bottle is packed that way that it can easily carried while traveling and oil wont spill at all. 6. One needs just 2- 3 drops and product spreads on whole of my face. Dislike:- 1. Cost of the tea tree oil is Rs 445 of 10ml of oil which I find quiet expensive if I use it in my shampoo and on my acne too.It gets finished in 20 days easily. 2. It has alcohol smell and will not suit many who have sensitive nose.(I doubt if it is pure tea tree oil because alcohol smell is too strong ) Rating - .3.5/5 Recommendation - It is certainly not an acne defence product but it is not bad either for those who suffer from 1 or 2 occasional pimples. 7 best uses of Castor oil for skin and hair Posted: 20 Nov 2010 12:43 AM PST By Gunjan, Anamika and others have discussed about different oils and there benefits on skin and hair so I thought of writing about Castor oil which is one of my favorite oil. Castor oil has so many effective properties which heal the body and it is an easy way to maintain healthy skin and hair. Below are different uses of Castor oils and its benefits. 1.Acne cure treatment – Castor oil has Rhcinoleic Acid which inhibits viruses and bacteria. It deeply penetrates skin tissues and therefore it is one of the natural remedy of acne. How to use Castor oil in acneTake a washed clothe (preferable a towel) and dab it on your face. This will open up the pores of your face.Apply little castor oil very gently on your face and leave it overnight. I do this before going to the bed and I see the result in one or two weeks. If you are suffering from severe acne problem then you can use this twice a day, once in morning and once at night. Smooth skin with Castor oilCastor oil can deeply penetrates into the skin when compared with any other plant oil. It works better than any store brought anti –ageing creams. Best way to stay away from wrinkles is to rub small amount of the oil on your face and around your eyes before going to bed. You might find it difficult to apply it in the beginning as it is little thick and sticky too. I generally pat my face gently with a tissue to get rid of the excess oil after applying it on my face. Be sure you use only cold pressed castor oil which is hexane free. Using any kind of castor oil may clog the skin pores. Removing scars– Applying castor oil after surgery on any cuts and wounds will minimize the appearance and formation of the scar. This is because Castor oil has the ability to increase our body's lymphocytes or white blood cells which regulates wound healing. Thick eyelashes and eyebrows– When you apply castor oil on your face before going to the bed apply it on your lids and eye lashes too. This promotes rapid growth of fuller lashes. It also thickens sparse eyebrows if massaged regularly for 2- 3 months. |
