Hi anamika,

I'm thinking of doing the maroon/brown saree for the wedding. It has gold border and gold polka work all over the body. I was thinking maybe some copper/shimmery eyeshadow ? Not sure though. Would be good if you could recommend some brands too. I will need to buy them. The wedding is in december.

And the pink one - slightly less heavy for the reception.It has a sheer pallu and the rest of the saree is pink with again - gold polka work

oh and I'm a NC40 in my MAC Studio Sculpt Spf 15 founation, if that helps you understand my skin tone !

I too personally liked the brown maroon saree on you.It is trendy and I so loved the gold polka work on it.

As you said you are NC 40 so it will be more interesting for me to suggest you some eyemake up ideas.

You have bright sparkling eyes therefore I will suggest you to go with heavy eye make up and light brown lipstick shade with some sparkling gloss of Loreal which I recently reviewed.

With this you can use Body shop lip and cheek stain . This will add dash of shine to your cheeks.

I tried this nail art today well though I expected better work from myself but I liked the color combination so thought of sharing it with my wise she friends here..

Also my black nail paint have started drying and therefore I had problem in applying it with a brush...Time to get a new one

We women are always short of time especially when it comes to make up.I always think that I will spend lot of time on my makeup but some thing or the other happens and I am left with just tiny bit of time for myself.

Similar thing took place yesterday also.I wanted to spend lot of time on my eye makeup but landed up with very less amount of time to do it.Why can't we have 48 hours in a day :( .I would have learnt so many things which I only dream off now.

Anyways, let me stop cribbing and share with you my party makeup which I did yesterday.I used my old chambor pallete for this eye makeup look and used only two eye shadows for this.

So this is how I went ahead with my makeup.Took my just five minutes

Step1 - I cleaned my eyes and applied eye primer . If you don't have a eye primer than apply foundation and some baby powder on it.

Step2 - Applied pink eyeshadow on my eyelid.You can use a eyeshadow brush for it but even if you don't have a brush you can easily do this with your finger too.

Step3- Now take the second eyeshadow which is the golden one and apply it on your crease and take it till your brow bone.Don't over do the golden colour just slight tint works well.

Step4 - Now apply kajal in your lower lash line, curl your lashes , apply mascara and eyeliner and fill your eyebrows.

and we are done

.I complimented the look with my faces lipstick.

Straight hair tips - Straight hair looks sexy and manageable but if they are not healthy then they are not worth. Many of you must know that permanent straightening chemicals are amongst the strongest hair products in the market today .If you have healthy strong hair then there is no harm trying these chemicals.

To know the health of your hair you can follow this simple test.

Wrap a single strand around a finger and tug your hair. If your hair breaks easily then beware. Your traces might not be able to handle the chemical treatment.

Some important info while chemically treating your hair or getting them straightened.

1. Permanent straightening should never be done on chemically damaged hair or heavily colored hair.

2. Whenever the new hair starts growing we look forward to get the touch ups done again which leads to hair damage.Therefore avoid frequent touch ups.

After learning and getting many chemical treatments on my hair I have taken break from chemical treatment and have switched to temporary straightening solution. It takes time but my hair are too fragile so this is the only option left for me.

How to straighten hair at home

Process of temporary straightening is quiet simple and one can begin by shampooing and conditioning their hair. While bro drying one needs to keep in mind the shape of the brush. (Bigger the brush the straighter your hair will be)

For ironing towel dry your hair and apply a protective serum (I use my Loreal serum for this) to shield the hair from the heat. Use a comb to untangle and divide your hair into sections.

You don't require a wide tooth combed for this. Keep iron rod in one hand and comb in another. Unless you need a poker straight hair starts atleast one or two inches away from your scalp. Take one section of the comb hold the comb on the underside of your hair and work your way down to the length of the hair, followed by the iron.

Watch out the tips of your hair as you may burn your skin .Ironing your hair from the back is always a problem for this turn your head upside down and iron. This will add bounce to your hair .

If you regularly straighten your hair then deep condition your hair once in a week at least.
