  1. Tornado Music Headboard Should Put you to Sleep - 2011-02-16 12:56:16-05
Music will always be a great help to make us sleep. We mostly turn to our portable media players for help on this but in case you aren't at east with them, shift to the big time with these Tornado Music Headboards. These are high-tech headrests that come with two built-in speakers. Rather than confine yourself to earphones, this is an audio system that allows you to plug in your iPod, MP3, television or computer to enjoy a surround-sound theatre experience. Of course this is with the understanding that you would turn to soft music to get some shuteye. If you happen to be a rocker or a person who loves loud music, this is something that will keep you awake and lively rather than rest you up for some good sleep. 2. Sleep Problems can Worsen Rheumatoid Arthritis Disabilities - 2011-02-17 14:04:17-05
You can add another problem that you may encounter if you sleep poorly with rheumatoid arthritis. It seems that a study has proven that people who suffer from poor sleep are likely to suffer from RA or rheumatoid arthritis mainly due to pain and fatigue symptoms. The study came from the University of Pittsburgh where based on information shared by patients, researchers found that 61 percent of participants were poor sleepers and 33 percent reported pain that disturbed their sleep at least three times per week. The researchers say functional disability possibly may affect depression, pain severity, and fatigue, which in turn may affect sleep quality. However, it is also likely that sleep quality may worsen pain and fatigue and increase risks of depression. 5. Night Night Lamp - 2011-02-20 10:32:07-05
For the people who want to sleep and not leave the lights on, here is a cool creation from Vanessa Hordies. It is a lamp that comes with an integrated hour glass which acts as the timer. The hourglass runs when you turn it over, carrying a 15 minute timer that is activated as the sound slowly trickles down. This should be a great nightlight to have in the room, something that will automatically turn off when the timer is up. Designers built it around the notion that the average person takes between 10 and 20 minutes to fall asleep. 6. USB-Powered Aquarium Alarm Clock - 2011-02-21 16:12:12-05
Incorporating an alarm clock with an Aquarium in tow is simply a stroke of genius. Other than having to wake up to that irritating alarm, the first thing you get to see is the soothing ambiance of fish swimming in the aquarium right by your side. Everything is powered by USB and the LED lights are used to make it all light up. Though it wasn't mentioned if the alarm could be customized, at $40 from Brando, you know this is something you could handily consider having by your bedside to get you on the right side of bed!
