Access Community Health Centers (ACHC), located in Madison, Wisconsin, is a non-profit health care clinic serving the Dane County community by providing quality primary medical and dental services to patients that would otherwise be unable to access care.

We are currently recruiting for either a Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant to provide support in managing patient intake, assisting medical providers, providing patient education, assisting with lab and other procedures and collecting appropriate medical documentation.

Required for this position: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as a LPN with a Wisconsin nursing license or graduate of a Medical Assistant program and/or prior medical assistant experience (certified MA preferred). Fluency in English and Spanish and prior work in a medical clinic also preferred. We are a small, cohesive employer and offer competitive salary and benefit programs.

Plans for education after assessing the individual learning needs and readiness of the patient and family. Provides educational opportunities and documents outcomes.
Functions as a preceptor to new staff.
Functions as a charge nurse.
Meets performance expectations for Customer Service, Teamwork, Resource Utilization, and Staff and Self Development as outlined in performance review.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the department/unit.
