Elle 18 color burst pomegranate pie review, swatches and pictures

Elle 18 Lipstick - Elle 18 color bursts, bombs and pops :D:d have created quiet a sensation in the market because of their good colour range, decent price and cute packaging.

Out of the their 25 colours I got Pomegranate pie for myself .The number is 08 which by the way id my favorite lucky  number :D. You can check elle 18 color burst swatches here

There is lot of variety in this range and all shades are trendy and with this super cute packaging it was impossible to resist buying one.I have many shades like these but with Rs 100 who would not like to try them..

Price of color burst Pomegranate pie is Rs 100 for 4.3 ml  and shelf life of the product is 30 months from pkd.


Sadly Elle 18 have not mentioned any product ingredients but it has cooca butter in it and that makes it quiet moisturizing.


 

Likes of elle 18 lipstick

1. Elle 18 lipstick are not very pigmented but they can be build up easily.
2. Quiet moisturizing and doesn't make my lips dry .
3. Gives a soothing feeling when I apply it.
4. Affordable and cute packaging
5. It stays on lips for 4-5 hours easily if I wear some light foundation on my lips
6. It goes away in a minute if I eat or drink something after applying it and to avoid this I dab some loose powder n my lips after wearing it.
Dislike :-Considering its price and how the colour looks on me I didn't find any dislike as such though I wish it could have more staying power.

Recommendation :-

I prefer buying inexpensive lipstick when I wanted to try a new shade on  myself .This way I use to figure out whether the colour will suit me or not.Elle 18 lipstick is a great way to find out the best lipstick colour for yourself.

Will I Re - Purchase - Yes I will for sure and infact  it can be great return gift in a girly party

Lip balm - I am quiet lazy when it comes to eating pomegranate if some one can make a fruit salad with pomegranate then I don't mind and like the taste as well.  :)

Pomegranate taste of Nivea lip balm attracted me and I idea of tasting pomegranate every now and then is quiet interesting too. Isn't?

Price of Nivea fruit shine Pomegranate is Rs 129 for 4.8gms of tube

Not badd naa ..as 4.8 grams can easily last for 3 months or more even if I use it every single day without fail.

What the product claims - (From website )

My experience with the product - When I first used it I started jumping and the reason was this lip balm goes so very well with any heavy eye make up look .It gives those nude lips which I always look for with any of my smokey eye makeup.

Availability - Lip balm is easily available in all healthy and glow centers, big bazaar and most of the drug store.

Lip balms has moisture store formula which keeps the skin nicely moisturized for long.I though have to re apply it frequently but I liked it taste and tint so much that I was happily doing it.

 I love the tint of this lip balm it is much intense  than Nivea star fruit strawberry lip balm.

It taste nice and fragrance doesn't irritate my nose and with this it also had SPF 10 which is though little less but I don't mind that after looking a its tint, taste and moisturizing capability.

Helloes !!!!

I did nail art on Elle 18 nail pops 07  today .A very simple design and I used my old thin eyeliner brush for this and a ball pen tip.



Here goes the tutorial :-

Step 1 - Apply base coat on your nails and then I applied pink nail paint on my nails.

Step 2 - With a thin brush and a dark pink nail paint draw two diagonal  lines as shown below.Now take some shimmer (any colour) I am using white shimmer in this one . Apply transparent coat on the corner of your nails and top it up with some shimmer.


Step3 - Now I made some upside down V and added white dots on them with a ball pen tip.





Step3  - Now fill the space between the diagonals with white nail paint and finish it off with a top coat again.... I am using Maybelline colorma  transparent nail paint.

Look Book - Smokey eye makeup with Faces eyeshadow and step by step pictures

This one is easy well I always say this but I only know simple eye make up only.I used faces eye shadow (read review here) eye shadow has quiet a bit of fall but once it is on my eyes it brings out the shades perfectly.





I used 2 colour of this eye shadow  and have marked them below.



Here goes the eye makeup tutorial
Step1 - Clean and primed my eyes.If you don't have a primer  then apply foundation and some baby powder on it.You can use MAC Prep plus prime also instead of the powder.





Step2 - Applied Maybelline gel liner all over my eye lid to get the smokey effect. I didn't take it above my crease.


Step2- Now I covered the black with the purple .I didnt cover inner corner of my eyes so that I could use blue there.



Step3 - Applied blue in the inner corner of my eyes and blend the two colours with an eye shadow brush.



Step4 -Now used a shimmery highlighter from my crease to the brow bone and blended the colours.
I used Maybelline eye pallete  highlighter for this.You can use any.



Step5 - Applied eyeliner(Shahnaz eyeliner) , curled my lashes and used (Colorbar mascara) as mascara..Also filled my brows with MAC brow pencil ( you can use any brown eyeshadow to fill your brows or any brown eyeliner )and applied shahnaz kajal on my lower lash line.




and we are done

MAC PREP PRIME - MAC Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder Review

MAC PREP AND PRIME FOR THAT BEAUTIFUL GLOW :)

Hello people meet my new MAC friend who keeps away the oil away from my skin .This powder is a staple in my daily make up regime .

MAC PREP + PRIME -  A silky finishing powder that provides an invisible way to set makeup. Reduces shine while optically minimizing the look of pores, lines, imperfections. Available in one universal colour that suits all shades. Wear over makeup or on bare, moisturized skin

Price of MAC Prep and prime is Rs 1250 for 9gm.  I know it is horrible but if you love MAC then you won't mind it.Isn't? :)


Mac Prep prime skin 

SA told me various ways to use this pretty translucent powder.

1. Apply MAC FOUNDATION then the MAC PREP PRIME and then MAC compact.(This is to give full coverage to your face)

2. You can apply just after your skin soaks tinted moisturizer.

3. To set the concealer just apply MAC Prep and prime over it as it avoids creasing .

By the way I never wore this in any of my make up look on wise she as it tends to leave that white cast with flash photography so if you are going to clicked lot many times during an occasion and then please avoid Prep +Prime finishing powder .



My experience with the product :-

1. My skin gets oily when I use any foundation it starts pouring oil even when I use tinted moisturizer for this I am constantly doing my touch ups with a compact which takes away my blush also.But with this one my skin remains oil free and gives matte look for maximum of six hours.

2. This is a translucent powder therefore I am very careful while using it because I afraid it might look whitish all my skin.

3. It is easy to blend on the skin .Some time when I am in hurry I just moisturize my skin and apply this and put on my MAC blush.It gives me a nice glow for 2-3 hours easily.

4. It gives a subtle glow and  it gives a natural look to my skin when I use it on my tinted moisturizer.With tinted moisturizer it gives a sheer to medium coverage to my skin.

5. It makes my foundation and concealer last for lonnnng.

6. Little powder goes  long 

Dislike - 

1.Imagine my horror when I opened it and it fell down.I lost so much of my translucent powder :((....You can understand how it feels when your beloved expensive thing falls down. After it fell I realised then the powder is very very light and one has to be carefull when ever one opens it.

 2. Powder is great for those who have oily skin but those who have dry skin it might be kind of useless because the main purpose of this powder is to reduce oily shine from face.

3. The way SA was explaining to me I thought it will do miracle to my makeup but it is not that great a product when I compare it with its price.

4.It might give dry patches to dry skin

Will I re- purchase - Yes, it works for me so I am gonna purchase it.

Recommendation - Tired of oil coming from your make up then try this one for that fresh glow.
