Inglot cream blush and Inglot duraline - Gifts from Rashmi :)

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 11:41 PM PST

Its a very special day today because my dear dear blogger friend Rashmi (akka Mac guru ) had sent me some amazing products from Inglot. There is no Inglot in Hyderabad and when I showed my sadness to Rashmi she sent these beauties  without a hitch.

She picked up a cream blush (Freud a Joues Creme 81) which will suit my wheatish  skin and with that Inglot duraline which is a special transforming liquid that will turn any Inglot powder eyeshadow into liquid formulation.

It is like butter. I wish I could show you my happiness

The moment product arrived I calld up Rashmi and by hearing my excitement her first sentence was "you got the product Right"

Thank you so much Rashmi

Love

Beauty tip - Best time to apply moisturizer /All about moisturizing

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 10:16 PM PST

 By Nancy ,

 Hi ,

I would like to contribute few moisturizing tips which  I have learnt with experience.Though they are easy tips but hold lot of importance.

1. Apply moisturizer right after washing your skin, when our skin is damp. When we apply moisturizer to damp skin , it locks the water in upper layer of the skin .

2. If you use toner then leave the toner on damp skin and immediately apply moisturizer.

3. Do not apply moisturizer on dry face and also not on the wet face.

4.  Use moisturizer which have SPF protection in day time and avoid using the same at night as it may clogs pores.

5.Skin near our eyes can become fluffy as it retains fluid.Use a separate eye cream for this purpose.

If you have any beauty or make up tips to share with us then mail us at anamika(at)wiseshe(dot)com.

Lip gloss - Colorbar Juicy Candy Lip Gloss review , swatches and photos

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 08:07 PM PST

By Adivaah

Colorbar Juicy Candy Lip Gloss!!!

I picked up this gloss because I wanted a gloss that I could use on everyday basis , which moisturizes my lips and ; looks shiny and  chic at the same time! The SA at the colorbar counter was pushy and  wanted me to buy their blusher too but I declined because I don't use a blush, but soon I'll buy an economical one and do little practice before I get the perfect art of applying it because I always find it to be too tricky and  I have never dared to use it! Anyways for now I'll go ahead with the Lipgloss review!

What does Colorbar claim about this lip gloss: "Our Juicy Candy lip gloss gives you those ultimate shiny lips with its skin conditioning and softening agents."

Price of Colorbar Juicy Candy Lip Gloss is Rs 199 for 9ml.I bought the shade Applicious!

Other shades available are: Just berry, Minty Fresh, Raspberry Swirl, Strawberry Twist, Caramel Toffee, Orange Jus, Guava crush! (Fruit ki dukaan hai na?)

Pros of the Colorbar Juicy Candy Lip Gloss
(I)First thing that I noticed about this lip-gloss is the smell, it smells so fruity!

(2)This when applied looks like a sheer lip-gloss with just a hint of color which is quite good for daytime.

(3) The gloss is non sticky and  non-pigmented but very moisturising!

(4) It stays for at least 3 hours & more if you are not consuming food, it fades a little if you have tea or something but the lips still look moisturized & it leaves little shimmery effect.

(5) This seems to be tasteless, so no problem if you accidently or purposely taste it.

(6) This comes in the form of a tube and the nozzle of the tube is shaped such that you just need to press the tube for the amount of gloss you need & glide it like a lipstick!

(7) The packaging is cute and  can be carried in a bag.

(8) They are available in 8 shades.

Cons of the Colorbar Juicy Candy Lip Gloss
(1)Doesn't have ingredients list on the tube
(2)It's available in 9ml so it might get used up pretty fast if you use it at least 2-3 times at work.
But this is just my opinion! It depends on your usage!
(3) Some of you may find this expensive with so many lip-glosess available in the market, but I still
like this for the moisturizing effect!
(4) Some people may not like the shimmery look it gives after the gloss fades.

Final Word: This is a very nice shiny moisturising lip-gloss suitable for everybody! College going girls will certainly like this because this doesn't make one look over the top & the packaging is kinda cute too!
Will I repurchase: Though I'm happy using this, but once this gets finished I want to try something else because I get bored using the same thing for long!

Do you have any recommendations for Lip-Gloss?

Olive oil - 10 beauty uses of Olive oil

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 07:58 AM PST

Beneits of olive oil -  We all know that what an amazing product olive oil is and how all  women have been using it since ages as a beauty aid. Olive oil is mild, non –irritant oil which suits all skin type and is rich in antioxidants .

Below are  various uses of olive oil which might help you out :-

Dry skin face pack with olive oil

If you are above 30 or have dry skin then using olive oil in your face masks will keep your skin nourished and moisturized throughout the day. You can mix olive oil with honey and milk in equal quantity and apply it on your face and neck. Wash it off after a while.

Olive oil helps to keep the skin smooth and glowing. It prevents fine lines and wrinkles and works against aging of the skin tone.

Olive oil for brittle nails

To add strength to your nails just soak your nails in some warm olive and see the magic after a week. If you have stained nails then you can add some drop of lemon juice as well.

Olive oil for massage

Rubbing olive oil in your hair regularly and giving them some massage helps in reducing split ends , dandruff and add shine into the hair.

You can use olive oil in your hair pack too.

Massage olive oil on your body before taking bath or you can just drop few drops of olive oil in your bath tub to keep your skin moisturized

Apply olive oil on your chapped lips before going to bed .It acts as an lubricant and heals chapped lips.

Crow's feet – Squeeze some vitamin E  capsules and mix it with olive oil. Mix well and gently apply on the area around the eyes where crow's feet have been developed. Leave it for 10 minutes and wipe it off with a cotton swab. You can soak the cotton swab in warm water to remove the oil completely.

Olive oil for smooth hands and feet – Mix olive oil with sugar and gently rub on your hand. Now with winters around just massage olive oil on your hand and feet  and cover them with a socks .You will get up with smooth hands and feet.

You can use olive oil as a shaving cream also. Just spread olive oil on whole body and then use razor. This will give you smooth shave.

That is all from my side  :)

Do you know any use of olive oil beside these?

Lip gloss - Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Gloss review, swatches and photos

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 04:34 AM PST

Maybelline color sensational lip gloss - Maybelline color sensational lip gloss is so loved my so many of us that I had to give it a try.It looks beautiful and is affordable too.

So a month back I got this one and after using it for 10 -12 days it suddenly disappeared.I was so sad but didn't search for  it much..But yesterday while going shopping I found it in my bag only and I wore it again .

Today I thought of reviewing it before it get misplaced again :D

I got 055 Raspberry Sorbet and HD also has the same colour:).This colour is something which I think will suit most skin tone

Price of Maybelline color sensation lip gloss is Rs 250 for 6.8ml

Very affordable and one lip gloss will last for long long time.

Other shades of Maybelline lip gloss are :-

Plum Tastic415
Mocha Glaze275
Broadway Bronze 315
 Sugared Honey 405
Touch of Toffee255Cranberry Cocktail 605
Hooked on Pink 065
Wine All Mine 625

It has an doe- foot applicator which I really like .It takes out the required quantity and very easy to handle the brush.

Swatches of Maybelline color sensation lip gloss

This one is a pink gloss which has light himmer in it.

My experience with the product :-

1.This gloss is more like a creamy lipstick which is quiet pigmented and it stays for 5-6 hours easily on my lips.

2. It is quiet affordable similar to their lipstick.

3.There are wide variefty of colours to choose from

4.It gives nice shine to my lips without making them look OTT.

5.It is easy to carry it in my bag.

6. Great pigmentation

7.It is not stick and it doesn't have any strong smell and it is tasteless though I wish it could be little tasty also .

8. Even if the gloss fades it leaves a tint behind which lasts for one hours more which makes my lips look naturally pink.

Dislike :-

1.I find the gloss little less moisturizing and therefore I have to apply  lipbalm before applying the lip gloss.

2.No mentioned of the ingredients.

and here is me with the gloss

Nail art ideas - Butterfly nail art tutorial with step by step pictures

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 12:04 AM PST

Hello girls !!!

Nail art - I love making cute butterfly on my nails, sadly  I have no professional tools with me but it doesn't look that bad when I make it with a thin brush also.

This is the nail art design which I made though I wanted to make butterfly on all my nails but I don't think it  would have looked that good .

In the end  I ended up making some flowers on my other nails. This is what I mostly do :D. You can check out some flower nail art design here .

Let us  go ahead with my simple  nail art tutorial

Step 1- I applied a transparent base coat on my nails and then applied Maybelline colorama Arena which is a nude colour on my nails.

Step2 - To make butterfly I used CD pen and made a little butterfly on my nail as shown below.

Step3 - Filled it with blue nail paint

Step4 - Outlined it with black

Step5 - Then I made some flower with the same blue nail  paint and added a dash of green on them when they dried .Made some coma [,] like design with a black nail paint

Sealed the design with a transparent coat again and we are done

You can check out more nail art ideas here.

Have a great day ahead every one !!!
